1 Fine Arts Critique You have 25 minutes to get your artwork ready for the critique. Today is the last day to work on your artwork. Grades today: 20 points- Hang your art on the board. 20 points- Answer reflection questions from sheet in your sketchbook. Finished? Paint next page in your sketchbook to use for reflecting on your artwork. Help take art off of boards.

3 Reflect on the following questions in complete sentences:
Give your artwork a title and list the materials you used and the date. Describe your artwork: What do you like about it? Why? What don’t you like about it? Why not? Be descriptive? Where did you get your ideas? (from teacher, other students, artist inspiration?) Does your artwork have meaning? (on purpose)

4 7. HOW did you meet the criteria?
1.Re-use paper that is 12x18 or 18x24. 2.MATERIAL: Use some type of collage and/ or mixed media techniques. 3.IMAGE:  Must have an image on it that has detail, shading and you look at the object or picture of it. 4.Composition is balanced. 5.CONCEPT: Use emphasis, contrast, or repetition. ARTIST:  Try to be inspired by mixed media/ collage artist(s), use ideas in your work.

6 Look at the art on the board:
How does your artwork look from far away? Different than you thought? What do you like or not like about your artwork? Be specific. Talk about your piece. Which artwork do you like and why? Which in the most interesting? Where is there… Repetition Emphasis Contrast What part of another artwork inspires you or gives you ideas for your artwork?

7 Images and objects 1. Look at the real object in front of you. Your hand, objects from home, your face. 2. Pictures that you took on your phone/ camera. Printed. Magazine/ internet photographs. FIND SCULPTURES, ARCHITECTURE, NATURE.
