Presentation transcript:

Homework Your child can practise what they have learned in school. They can learn things they need to know by heart, eg. Times tables and spellings. Your child can learn how to work alone and be responsible for their own work. They can get into the routine of organising their own time and gain more independence and responsibility.

Homework Every Friday, your child will be given a piece of Numeracy and/or Literacy homework to do which will hopefully be linked to what we are doing in the classroom. It shouldn’t ever be onerous and will hopefully be fun! They will be given until the following Wednesday to bring it back into school. Examples so far: Roman Numerals Challenge Mini Hadrian’s Wall Project – amazing! What would it have been like for a Roman Soldier to stand on Hadrian’s Wall? Iron Man adjectives Iron Man Comic strip Arrays worksheet Numeracy game

Suggested Homework Timetable How much can/should you help?
