ARHS Safety Plan The Evacuation Plan is utilized for all drills and events that require all persons to exit the school building. ARHS Safety Plan WHAT STUDENTS NEED TO DO… In the event of an evacuation emergency students should: Everyone in the building will end in the football stadium. Evacuate the building using the escape route diagram Stay with your class. If separated from your class, walk to the stadium and find another staff member and make sure they are aware. ARHS Safety Plan Lockdown There are many ways that teachers can be notified of a lockdown. (ex. phone, all call, email, face to face) This will require all staff members to take charge of students and move them to a secure location, account for them and keep them safe until the security issue has been resolved.

ARHS Safety Plan WHAT STUDENTS NEED TO DO… In the event of a lockdown emergency students should: Follow all teacher directions Quickly and quietly move to the wall labeled “Safe Wall” in the classroom You should not be able to be seen from the hallway through the window in the door. Report to the nearest room that may lock if in the hallway, restroom, café, gym. Teacher will secure the door, turn off lights and take role to account for all students Wait for further direction from administrator, SRO or police officer. Stay off of your cell phones!!!! It disrupts the line of communication for police/fire/rescue.
