Roadrunners habitat Roadrunners live in the desert. They make their nests out of snake skin, sticks and leaves. Roadrunners build their nests on shrubs or cactus. A female roadrunner lays 5-8 eggs at a time!

What does the roadrunner look like? The roadrunner has a dark, shaggy, head crest with tiny white spots, black eyes, a bare blue patch behind its eyes, a long dark brown bill, a tan belly, X shaped feet, long brown legs, brown and cream feathers and short rounded wings.

Fun Facts About Roadrunners. Roadrunners eat scorpions, lizards and small snakes. A roadrunners eyes are sometimes bigger than its stomach. A roadrunner can run up to 15 miles per hour.
