2. What does my animal look like?
Great Blue Herons have blue and grey feathers. They also have a white crest and long yellow legs. Herons are 3 to 4 feet tall with a wingspan of 7 feet. Finally, Herons weigh 4 to 7 pounds.

3. Where does my animal live?
Great Blue Herons live in the middle of the woods in North America, South America, and Central America. You will also find them on the sides of ponds and lakes.

4. What does my animal eat?
The Great Blue Heron is a carnivore that eats: fish, frogs, Salamanders, snakes, crabs, shrimp, lizards, and crayfish.

5. PREDATORS
Some predators of a Heron, are Bald eagles and owls. Some land animals can also get to their nest.

6. What adaptations does it have to help it survive?
