Animal Facts Movement Giraffes walk on four legs on one side and then the other side. when they run they gallop giraffes can’t jump. They can run 35 mph. Description They have tan fur. They have spots all over. The can be different shades of brown. No giraffes are the same. They are born at 6 feet tall. Adult giraffes are 14 to 18 feet tall. male: 2,600 lbs, female: 1,800 lbs, babies: 150 lbs. they have very short fur. The spots on giraffes fur are good camouflage to protect from predators. They have small horns on their head males have more . A few giraffes are white. Diet My animal is a herbivore. Giraffes have their feet spread apart when they drink water because their legs are so long they can’t just bend over to drink. Fun facts about giraffes!
