2 M y name is Ben and I am doing a report on Red Tailed Hawks. I think they are neat because they use their wings in many ways.

3  My animal is a type of bird. The Red Tailed Hawk lives 21 years in the wild and six feet wide that is the same as two meters!

4  The Red Tailed Hawk weighs 2lbs. They are 18-24 inches wide. They can go up to 121mph. It can have 1 to 3 eggs.

5  The Red Tailed Hawk is found in North America. They eat fish, and mice. A hawk can eat small mammals.

6  Red Tailed Hawks have awesome eye sight they can spot their prey from a long way away. The female is a grate hunter and better than the male.

7  The Red Tailed Hawk finds a friend and sticks together for life. The female is bigger than the male.

8  They were almost extinct but we saved helped by not cutting down their forest. People were also hunting them.

9  A Red Tailed Hawk can beat a snake in a battle. And they sit on the nest for 28 to 32 days.

10  Red Tailed Hawk babies are full of white feathers. They leave the nest at six weeks old. Red Tailed Hawks will steal their food from other birds.

11  They are North Americas most seen hawks. Adult feathers can get up to 22cm tall.

12  They make a loud cry that is used on TV. They are 4 feet long and weigh2lb. There are 27different kids of hawks.

13  These are way that I think the Red Tailed Hawks are smart. And my favorite fact is that they don’t have to have any water.
