Grading - Formative 30 % Homework Quickwrites Binder Checks

Binder Checks Students are required to have a section in their folder for Reading. All notes and handouts are to be kept in this section. Students are required to have their Agenda in their binder.

Homework - 30% Cursive Homework Notes Homework Handouts in August Paragraphs in September Proficient Writers no homework…These students have already been identified and informed. Notes Homework All students are required to study their notes and handouts. No notes OR Study Guides are to be discarded as I test over all materials as the year progresses.

Quick writes – 30% Quick Writes are short written assignments I may give at the beginning of class. These may be related to reading terminology such as explaining plot or setting or a specific reading genre. They may be related to the specific novel or short story we are reading.
