Fact mastery is crucial – please practice the basic facts with your child. Currently, addition and subtraction facts should be recalled fluently. Later, multiplication and division facts should be practiced.

Students will read Story Town stories, reading passages from other resources, and at times, novels. Tests will be based on cold reads and not the story from the reading book. Comprehension will be assessed through quizzes and biweekly tests. Vocabulary will be tested for every story.
