13 Accelerated Reader The students will be expected to read AR books in RELA. They will choose whether they will achieve 5 points or 10 points. Once they have read an AR book, they will complete a card report to ensure they are ready to take the online AR test. If they pass the online comprehension test, they will receive the point value for that book. This is a TEST grade for each six weeks and will begin 2nd six weeks.

14 How Can I Help My Child Become a Better Reader?
Encourage your child to read a minimum of 20 minutes per day. Ask your child to retell you something that they have read. Read aloud to your child.
