Open Enrollment is Oct. 31 – Nov. 16, 2018 For all benefits-eligible caregivers: Annual opportunity to make health benefit changes Add or remove dependents Enroll online via the HR portal at Caregiver.eHR.com Access the Benefits Service Center for 2019 benefits questions via phone, chat or ticket ? Open Enrollment has begun, running Oct. 31 through Nov. 16. Just like last year, we will utilize the HR portal to enroll in benefits. Any changes you make before Nov. 16 will be effective on January 1, 2019. There’s content posted on the HR portal that provides more details about the benefits programs, which you can also access at home or on your phone. In addition, you can direct questions Monday through Friday to the Benefits Service Center via phone, chat or ticket. Open enrollment ends on FRIDAY, November 16. Any changes you want to make for 2019 benefits after 11:59 p.m. Pacific Time are only allowed for qualified life events (birth, marriage, etc.).

Use ALEX to help choose your 2019 plan Use this tool to help you decide which plans are best for you and your family ALEX is your virtual benefits counselor Access from the benefits enrollment system within the HR portal Access ALEX from the home page of the benefits enrollment system For help in guiding your choice of benefits, try ALEX, your virtual benefits counselor. ALEX is a fun way to learn about all of your benefits.   Access ALEX from the home page of the benefits enrollment system or from the HR portal. Choosing a medical plan is a personal decision and no one plan is right for everyone. It’s up to you to take a careful look at your options and choose the coverage that works best for you and your family.

How to enroll via the HR portal

HR portal overview Available 24/7 using a PC, Mac, tablet or smartphone and a variety of browsers View personalized information based on your location and role Access information using the “mega menu” and advanced search tool Navigate to benefit vendor partner sites Ask benefit and HR-related questions from the portal Resources section provides a new home for all benefits-related forms and documents and vendor contact information Enroll in your 2019 benefits, set up HSA contributions or access decision making tools 1 2 3 4 5 All caregivers need an Active Directory (AD) account to access the HR portal and the benefits enrollment system. To reactivate an account, the caregiver needs to call AskIT. 6 The HR portal delivers a common technology across Providence St. Joseph Health. The HR portal will be your gateway to benefits information and to enroll in or change your benefits. Here are the top features of the site: You can access the site 24/7 from just about any type of device and a variety of browsers. We will talk about how you access the site in a few minutes. Though there are many new and great features in the HR portal, for our purposes, we want to focus on item 6, which is where you will enroll in your 2018 benefits. The HR portal continues to evolve to include more information about benefits and other HR related topics, so we encourage you to go check it out throughout the year.

Accessing the HR portal (cont’d) When on the network From outside the network Click on the HR portal tab or QuickLink from StaffHub – no authentication required Visit Caregiver.eHR.com Click on your logo, then enter your standard/network user ID and password Or access via the OKTA page Accessing the HR portal is easy and can be done from either work or from home. [review instructions on slide] We have also created new guest access so family members and candidates can learn more about our benefit programs through a Guest site.

Enrolling in 2019 benefits 1 Click the shopping cart from the home page 2 Click “Get Started” to begin your benefits shopping experience Let’s take a closer look at how to enroll using the new benefits enrollment system. The experience is similar to shopping for your favorite products online. All current elections for caregivers will map over to this new system to provide an easy starting point for the 2019 enrollment. If you want to retain the same elections from 2018, there is nothing you need to do. However, please note that you need to re-enroll each year to continue participation in Health Care and Dependent Care Flexible Spending Accounts. It starts with the shopping cart on the home page of the HR portal. We will walk you through a few screen shots to give you a feel for how this works. The rest of the process is intuitive.
