The Mission of the Student Technology Leadership Program (STLP) is to advance individual capabilities; to motivate all students; and to create leadership opportunities through the use of technology.

1. The STLP will develop activities which enhance the academic, social and emotional growth of the student. 2. The STLP will provide leadership opportunities for all students. 3. The STLP will participate in multi-age collaboration by forming innovative learning partnerships. 4. The STLP will form learning partnerships among students with different technology skills. 5. The STLP will develop activities which benefit communities. 6. The STLP will develop instructional activities which integrates technology and benefits the school and support KETS (Kentucky Education Technology System) 6 STLP Goals

Student Technology Leaders (STLs) will participate in technology activities coordinated to core content. STLs will work in teams/individually inside and outside the school. STLs will interact with other students and adults to develop working partnerships. Goal 1 The STLP will develop activities which enhance the academic, social and emotional growth of the student.

STLs rosters will reflect the diversity of school populations. STLP is free for any student to join. STLs will experience career awareness/entrepreneurial opportunities. Guest speakers will provide guidance. Goal 2 The STLP will provide leadership opportunities for all students.

Coordinators and STLs will develop activities which cross grade levels and geographic boundaries (K-16). We will look to other schools (Walton-Verona, Owen County, NKU) for help in building and growing our program. Goal 3 The STLP will participate in multi-age collaboration by forming innovative learning partnerships.

STLs will learn new technology skills. Coordinator will pass along quality skills from Tech Tuesdays, professional development. STLs will share technology expertise with other students. Goal 4 The STLP will form learning partnerships among students with different technology skills.

Coordinators and STLs will form partnerships with business, industry, charitable, nonprofit and community agencies. We hope to work with local businesses to gain an understanding of how technology works in their buildings. Goal 5 The STLP will develop activities which benefit communities.

Coordinators and STLs will initiate activities which benefit individual students and staff and which support the school's consolidated plan. Coordinators and STLs will assist with technology integration throughout the school. Goal 6 The STLP will develop instructional activities which integrates technology and benefits the school and support KETS

What process was used to recruit students? Students create flyers and post in hallways. Flyers are posted all year on Mr. Lovetts classroom door. Interested students pass the information around through word of mouth. We also utilize the morning announcements and our weekly school newsletter. STLP Questions How does your school encourage all students interested to join? STLP is free for any student to join and provides opportunity to grow as an individual.

Does your membership reflect the diverse population of your school? Yes, STLP is open to all students. Many students create projects, while only the top 2 get selected. STLP Questions Does the scrapbook include pictures of your diverse group? Yes – next slide!

What process is used to increase community awareness of your projects and your school wide STLP program? School newspaper, newsletter, and website STLP Questions How does the community know about your STLP? We plan to participate in community activities to spread the word about STLP.

Our Plans for the Future We plan to grow exponentially. We plan to get involved with more activities and products such as more presenters at fall showcase and more students participating at state. We will build relationships with other schools and our community to better our program. We will develop our current STLs to lead the program to the next level. We will inspire and teach our community about the emerging trends of technology.

Student participation at local, district, state, national level and/or public forum as a representative of STLP We have a robotics team participating in region and hopefully state. We have submitted products for digital art, original photo, manipulated photo, graphic design, and technical writing, to be virtually judged.
