Vocab #4 (Quiz on Friday!) Elements of Art: The tools that artists use to create an artwork, such as line, color, value, texture, and shape. Line: A mark with length and direction, created by a point that moved across a surface. Shape: A flat figure that is created when a line becomes enclosed. Form: Any 3D object such as a cube, sphere, or cylinder. Color: Reflected light. Value: The lightness or darkness of a color. Space: The empty or open area between, around, above, below, and within an object. Texture: The way a surface feels or looks as though it would feel.
