Tracking student progress All attainment levels are recorded on our SIMS network. These are readily available for teachers, tutors and Phase Leaders to monitor progress and to plan appropriate lessons Current attainment levels are tracked against the individual student’s target grade A ‘traffic light’ system highlights student progress to ensure all students are on track to meet or exceed their target Intervention will take place with underachieving students

Reporting You will get several progress checking written reports in Year 11: ‘Interim’ report – current and predicted grades (Academic Tutoring Day: 18th November) – meet with form tutor Trial exams are between 30th November – 9th December. Maths and English 6th-10th February and again 18th – 21st April. January – parents’ evening (trial exam results and predicted grades) – meet with class teachers ‘Full’ report – current and predicted grades, written teacher summary and targets (11th March – Posted)

Try to (!) speak with them about their day Look at their books and discuss their work and the teachers’ comments with them Try to provide a suitable place to study; revision books; internet access; tutors; time to complete their work Help manage their stress Network with other parents

Help them start to consider their futures, send off for college prospectuses Monitor their coursework progress and revision schedules Ensure they are properly equipped for school, on time and attending fully Send them in ‘fit’ for any of their exams to maximise success Contact the school early if there are any concerns you have about their progress.
