It is very important for your child to be at school everyday, but If your child will be absent, please call to let the office know. If you would like to send birthday treats on your childs birthday, let us know and well plan a good time. Please do not send birthday invitations to school unless there is an invitation for everyone. Communication is extremely important. If you ever have questions or concerns, please feel free to the teacher at or call at We will go to the computer lab once a week. Your childs discipline is very important. We want to have the best learning environment possible in our classroom. We will be using the Clip Chart Behavior System to enforce positive behavior. Our addresses are This is the fastest way to contact me. Please make sure that the information on your childs emergency card is always up to date. Friday Folders will be sent home every Friday. Please look through these for important notes from school. We will go on field trips this year. Please return permission slips by the due dates. We will have gym twice a week and on Fridays. Please make sure your child wears tennis shoes on gym days. Your child will have homework Monday-Thursday. Please check and initial your childs Daily Folder every night. You are the most important aspect of your childs education.

When the weather gets cooler, please make sure your child wears a jacket (labeled with name) to school. Know whats going on by reading the weekly newsletter and checking the website & Facebook. First grade will have lunch from 11:00-11:30. We will visit the library once a week for a story and to check out books. Please make sure your child takes good care of their library books. We will have Music once a week. Please make sure that any money that is sent to school comes in a baggie or envelope marked with its purpose. Please read the newsletters that will come home each week to learn about whats going on in our classroom. Please make sure to sign in and out at the office every time you come to school. Please get involved with the PTO. Feel free to contact us with questions or concerns. We can be reached by phone, , or by writing a note. Please read with your child every night. Report Cards will be sent home four times a year. First grade will have recess from 10:30- 11:00. Please wear appropriate shoes and clothing. Spelling words will be sent home every Monday and a spelling test will be given on Fridays. We will be sending home Scholastic book order forms each month.

If your child has a change in their transportation home, please inform us and the office. Without a note, , or phone call, you child MUST go home the same way as they normally do. If you do not understand something we have sent home, please feel free to ask. If you are wanting to go on field trips or volunteer at school, you MUST have an up to date Criminal History Check on file in the office. Please check our schools website for important information and updates. We will have many fun and e X citing e X periences in 1 st grade. You are your childs first and most important teacher. We hope that we can work together this year to make your childs 1 st grade school year a huge success! ZZZZZZ…..
