The Christian’s Journey The World Is Behind Him The world tries to mold him (Rom. 12:1-2) The world tries to distract him (2 Tim. 2:4) The world is his enemy (Jas. 4:4) The world is on a different track (1 Pet. 4:4) The world is passing away (1 Jn. 2:15-17)

The Christian’s Journey His Cross is On His Back Cross-bearing is a condition of discipleship (Mt. 10:38; 16:24) Cross-bearing calls for daily sacrifice and self-denial (Lk. 9:23) Cross-bearing is a personal matter (1 Cor. 9:25-27; Gal. 2:20; 6:14) Cross-bearing comes before crown-bearing (Heb. 12:2)
