What is self-review? You rate your own work on the same scale (rubric) you used to rate other teams’ work. This makes you reflect on your own work.

Benefits Builds confidence Autonomy Self-direction Builds self-confidence as reflection on your work helps you understand it better and see what needs to done to improve it. Autonomy: it motivates students to decide how well they’ve done rather than just to wait for someone else’s assessment. Self-direction – Motivates to learn by yourself and continue learning about how to learn.
Combining peer & self-review Calibrated Peer Review allows an instructor to award points to students for self-reviews that closely match peer reviews. Maybe someday in Expertiza (but not right now)
