Presentation transcript:

Workforce Absence ManagerTM Requesting a New Leave Case for Managers You can use the My Requests widget to request leave time and review information about your existing leave cases. In this job aid, you will learn how to submit a request for a new leave case. Accessing My Time Off Requests Log on to Workforce Navigator_wfc. 1 Your manager workspace appears. Go to the Workspaces carousel in the top right corner. Select My Information to see your employee workspace. Checking your accrual balances (Optional task) If your organization has configured the My Accruals supporting tab in your home workspace, you can review this information to see the amounts of accrued time that might be relevant to your leave request. The columns of information reflect the balances as of the time period you selected in your home workspace. Drag the My Accruals pane up if you need to view more information on this tab. Accessing My Requests from the Related Items pane Select the My Requests widget from the Related Items pane. You can either: Click the My Requests widget title or drag it to the center of the workspace to open the widget. My Leave Requests is for FMLA cases, not general sick and vacation leave. Workforce Absence ManagerTM Requesting a New Leave Case for Managers Creating a Time Off Request, continued In the Request Leave Case box, enter the following information: From the Type drop down, Request Time Off will be the only option and will always be defaulted in. In the Start Date field, select the first day in the pop-up calendar. Note that this can be a date in the past. In the End Date field, select the first day in the pop-up calendar. Note that this can be a date in the past. In the Pay Code drop down, selected the appropriate leave category for your request. From the Time Unit drop-down list, select the applicable option, either full day or hours. If you selected hours, you will put a start time for your leave and the total duration. Exempt employees use leave in four hour increments, so an hour duration would be 4 or 8. The hours input here are for each day. If you request leave Monday-Friday, you could put 8 hours and the system will calculate a total of 40 hours of leave. Add a note in the provided optional window is you would like to add information for your supervisor. If it’s useful, you can review your leave accrual estimated balances as of any date in time on this request page before submitting. 2 Copy and paste these items as needed. Click Submit. 3 Reviewing the request in the leave calendar After you submit the leave request, confirm that you see an email message that your request has been sent to your supervisor. If you see a message that your request was not sent, then contact the ASC for assistance. You can review your request in your leave calendar. You should see a calendar entry for the first day of your leave request. Depending on the time period selected, you might see an entry for the last day of your leave request. After your supervisor has acted on your request for a leave case, you will receive a message that leave has been approved. Revision A © 2015, Kronos Incorporated or a related company.
