What to Expect… Amazing material to learn about Hard Work A lecture based course <sigh>…too much to learn in too little time…. Labs, too! Several hours each week outside of class reading, writing, studying…THINKING AP Biology is equivalent to a college Introductory Biology course for majors 2 semester course with lab A teacher who cannot bear the fact that we are TRAPPED like RATS inside this cinderblock classroom We’ve got to get out of this place! …Field Trips! outside of the school day…as many as you and I can fit in. within the school day when we can …usually not until the end of the year and only one of these… Wildlife! (Did someone hear a Barred-owl????)

Materials Required A notebook of your choice will be needed for notes, labs, handouts, homework, etc. Loose leaf is recommended. A calculator will be helpful in certain lab situations. It needn't be fancy, although a square root function will be helpful. Regular pencils and pens are, of course, a must. Colored pencils, markers and/or highlighters are also useful. Goggles – must have them! Not an option! AP Lab Fee – $30.00

Important Dates VASS AP Bio Prep Sessions Weekly AP sessions Mock Exam Feb 12 Mar 12 April 9 Weekly AP sessions Every Tuesday after school Every Tuesday Monacan Morning Mock Exam Must be given outside of class time After school opportunities and one Saturday opportunity Anticipate in late Feb. or early/mid March. You MUST take this mock exam (required by VASS) It WILL count as a grade Budget time as soon as precise dates are announced! After School Field Trip Sept. 28 (1st period) and Sept. 30 (6th period) Time: immediately after school until around 6:00pm
