SP 2019 – Key New Offerigs Modern UI Experience Modern Team Site Template has ben been introduced Modern Lists and Libraries have been added Modern experience has been added to Pages, Lists & Libraries Home Page which is part of Modern UI experience gives users unified access to all of their sites Usability SharePoint Server 2019 Public Preview can now render PDF documents on the server. Users no longer need to rely on a PDF viewer client application Modern Sharing experience has been enabled via introduction of Secure Sharing Links Improved Fast Site Creation has been introduced Options to configure both Authenticated and Anonymous SMTP added to Central Administration Support for special characters in file name - # and % added URL Path Length limit increased to 400 Unicode Units New Web Parts: MS Forms , Planner, File Previewer, Activity Part, Connector Part, 3D File Viewer Groups and Teams in existing Team Sites File Preview Storage File Upload limit raised to 15 GB from from 10 GB ** The information above is indicative and may change when SharePoint 2019 is formally released

SP 2019 – Feature Improvements Usability Character File Path Limit has been increased to 400 Characters from 260 Characters An improved OneDrive Sync Client has been introduced for syncing files with devices Improved Communication Site Template offering Modern Experience has been added SP 2019 allows any user having contribute access to restore the deleted items from recycle bin New PowerShell Cmdlets have been introduced for improved administration Improved SharePoint mobile App Experience Improved Suite Navigation and App Launcher ensures a seamless user experience across SharePoint Online and SharePoint 2019 Improved mobility experience/ difference between Online & On-premises Apps has been bridged Improved Distributed Cache will provide a more stable experience w.r.t. features that depend on the same. Upgraded Distributed Cache will use AppFabricVelocity Cache for background garbage collection. Search Modern improved search experience Improved Hybrid Search Experience Contextual Type-ahead Search A New Hybrid Search Bar for monitoring the status of hybrid configuration using a single view Bing Search Integration ** The information above is indicative and may change when SharePoint 2019 is formally released

SP 2019 – Significant Deprecations Services Access Services 2010 will be supported but deprecated Access Services 2013 will be supported but deprecated The Aggregated Newsfeed feature will be set to read-only Performance Point Services will be deprecated Machine Translation Service will be deprecated Tools/Components InfoPath will be supported but deprecated SharePoint Designer 2013 will be supported but a new version will not be released (to be phased out by 2026) Site Mailboxes are being deprecated Lists.GetListItemChangesWithKnowledge & Lists.UpdateListItemsWithKnowledge List Web Services will be deprecated ** The information above is indicative and may change when SharePoint 2019 is formally released
