Athletic eligibility All 9th grade students are automatically eligible to play a fall and winter sport After 2nd Marking Period Report Card you must be passing 6 classes to play a spring sport Must earn 30 credits at end of the year to be eligible to play fall and winter sports in the next grade
Graduation Requirements 120 credits 4 English classes 4 Health and Gym classes 3 Math classes (including Algebra and Geometry) 3 Science classes (including Biology) 3 History classes (including World, US I, and US II) 1 Foreign Language class (at least 2 for four year college) 1 Visual/Performing Art class (ie. Band, Choir, Piano, Art, CAD, Photo Tech, Intro to Graphic Arts) 1 Tech/Business class (ie. Mat Proc,CAD,Tech Lab, Foods, IMO) 1 Personal Finance class
Graduation Requirements vs. 4-year College Requirements High School Requirements 4-year College Requirements 3 years of Math, including Algebra and Geometry 1 year of a World Language 3 years of Science and Social Studies Requirements only yield 14 academic units 4 years of Math At least 2 consecutive years of a World Language, not including Intro to Spanish Many schools recommend/require more than 3 years of both Science & Social Studies Most colleges require 16 academic units Students should be checking individual colleges for their specific requirements and recommendations.
Course Recommendations & Prerequisites Students must meet the course prerequisites to enroll in certain courses. Must have teacher recommendation for AP courses. Future Scheduling Options Junior and Senior Year Vo-Tech Career Prep VIP Work Program
Student Scheduling All schedule requests will be submitted through PowerSchool. You must use a computer, not a phone, to submit requests. Online scheduling requests are available until March 9th. After March 9th, any changes must be made through your Counselor. Each student will meet individually with his/her Counselor to finalize his/her schedule.
New Honors Classes Biology, Chemistry US History I, US History II, and World History
10th Grade Schedule AP History AP History can count as your US History 2 requirement with your teacher recommendation.
11th Grade Schedule world History Honors World History can count as your last History requirement with your teacher recommendation.
