Industrial Revolution Factory Conditions were horrible poor lighting unsafe (no safety laws) long hours for low pay

What could workers do to improve their working conditions? Northern Factories 8-3 Attempts to Organize Because of the poor working conditions, workers organized to improve their situation Trade unions were formed by people that performed the same types of jobs Unions fought to improve working conditions NYC workers went on strikes - What is a strike? A strike is an organized refusal to work Do strikes work? Do they help or hurt workers?
