Year in Review - Highlights & Successes

Flashback…….. Community Survey: Conducted in October 2013, the survey was designed to give the community a voice in guiding the efforts and agenda of the CRA board for the next couple of years.   The survey was completed by 200 respondents and there were more than 200 open comments submitted. 2014 Focus = Increase Engagement

Engagement Membership Drive: Simplified Annual memberships (simpler, increase engagement) Calendar year membership (simpler) Collect other household members info (increase engagement) New membership platform (free service!) Approx 4000 residents in our catchment area, residing in 2000 households (Statistics Canada) 513 contacts (16% year over year) 304 Paid Members

Engagement and Communication Monthly Newsletter: In an effort to improve our channels of communication, we launched our first ever monthly newsletter in November 2013. Update: Subscribers = 487 Open Rate = 60-65% Click Through Rate = 25-35%

Engagement and Communication Update: 929 Followers 22 Tweets per month average 6939 Tweet impressions per month Update: Account opened 2014 123 Likes so far Popular posts reaching as many as 759 people

44th Forsythia Festival: The Forsythia Festival Organizing Committee in 2015 continued to deliver a terrific festival with fun activities, food and beer garden as well as entertainment. The festival happened on May 3rd and continues to be an important neighbourhood Spring tradition. 700 Attendees (550 in parade) 90 Volunteers 68 Businesses Sponsored

2nd Pumpkin Walk: Another community event organised by the CRA and local residents. Scheduled to be held annually on November 1st, the inaugural pumpkin walk in 2014 saw 90 inspiring creations lined up in Riverdale Park West. Residents also made generous donations of non-perishable food items to Toronto’s Daily Bread Food Bank.

Mobile Friendly Website: In 2011, we launched a redesigned website Mobile Friendly Website: In 2011, we launched a redesigned website. In 2013, in an effort to improve the experience for residents viewing our newsletter/website on their smartphone, we have optimized our website www.cabbagetowner.com for viewing on all your handheld devices. Mobile: Today, 60% of our website visitors are using their mobile device. Website: Average of 1,865 page views per month over past 12 months

5th Holiday Card Contest: The contest was rolled-out to Spruce Court Public School and Winchester Public School. We hope you enjoyed receiving our holiday card in your mail, and appreciated the effort that the young artists committed to their work.
