Urbanization-growth of cities Shift from agrarian to urban - result of industrialization and massive immigration City services lag - could not keep up with population explosion which led to overcrowding and unsanitary living conditions What is the government’s role in urbanization?

Political Corruption Control by a few - result of the wealthy who led to control of local, state and national governments Political Machines - ran city services and gained power and wealth through fraud Where do we see political corruption in today’s politics?
