Bonus Points Calculation for FY11 11th and 12th Grade FCAT Retakes

Who is included? FY11 Standard curriculum students Speech impaired Gifted Hospital Homebound English Language Learners (ELL) who entered an ESOL program on or before FCAT Writing February, 2008 Same as High Standards Calculation

Who is eligible? Denominator: FY11 Did NOT meet FCAT Reading and/or FCAT Math graduation requirement following March 2010 administration Numerator ? . Denominator 20

Who is eligible? Denominator: FY11 Enrolled full time (Surveys 2 and 3) for two consecutive years (2009-10 and 2011) in the same school Numerator ? . Denominator 18

Who is eligible? Denominator: FY11 In grades 10, 11, or 12 during 2009-10 (prior year) In grades 11 and 12 in 2010-11 (current year) Numerator ? . Denominator 15

Who is removed from the denominator? FY11 Students in 9th grade promoted to 11th grade Students with passing SAT or ACT* Numerator ? . Denominator 12 *Note: SAT and ACT scores may be applied toward graduation requirement only after students have taken the FCAT three times. However, the requirement to take the FCAT three times prior to using the SAT or ACT scores to satisfy graduation requirement shall not apply to a student who transferred into the Florida public school system in the twelfth grade.

Who is eligible? Numerator: FY11 Students in denominator Students with a scale score of at least 300 in FCAT Reading (DSS 1926) and/or FCAT Math (DSS 1889) administered in the Fall of 2010, or Spring of 2011 Numerator 6 . Denominator 12

How are the bonus points calculated? FY11 At least 10 students in denominator for both Reading and Math Numerator / Denominator = Retake % At least 50% met FCAT graduation requirement in both Reading and Math Numerator 6 . Denominator 12 = 50%
