10. Mathematics Achievement (FSA EOC) or Science/Social Studies Achievement (NGSSS EOC)*
Student meets all requirements of “All Achievement Components”
Student was enrolled in one of the required or optional courses for the EOC during that school year (includes surveys 1-3 for current year & survey 4 from prior year)
Student was taking the EOC for the first time* as a 9-12 grade student OR
Student was taking the EOC for the first time* as a student in grade 8 or below
Student was retaking the EOC in grade 8 or below AND did not earn a level 3 on the EOC the prior year
* Students must have a valid score on this assessment to be included in school grades

11. Science Achievement (SSA)*
Student meets all requirements of “All Achievement Components”
Student was in grade 5 or grade 8
* Students must have a valid score on this assessment to be included in school grades

12. Learning Gains Available for ELA & Mathematics only
All students who count in the denominator for achievement will also count in the denominator for learning gains, as long as they have a score on the state test in the same subject area in the prior year.
Students in the country for less than 2 years as of the first day of the writing component of FSA ELA will not be included in the achievement component but will be included in the learning gains denominator as long as they have a score on the state test in the same subject area in the prior year or on Access for ELLs

16. Middle School Acceleration (MSA)
Student was enrolled at the school during surveys 2, 3, & the first day of the relevant testing window and was a grade 8 student with a prior year score on the state math assessment (Grade 7 FSA Math or EOC) of level 3 or above OR
Student was enrolled at the school during surveys 2, 3, & the first day of the relevant testing window and was a grade 6, 7, or 8 student enrolled in a high school EOC course during the school year, with a valid EOC score
Student was enrolled at the school during the prior year for surveys 2, 3, and the first day of the SSA testing window and took a test for a qualifying industry certification*
*Qualifying industry certification exam is defined as the CAPE industry certification list adopted in Rule 6A and does not include Digital Tools certifications.
Note: Industry certification is lagged by 1 year.

17. College & Career Acceleration (CCA)*
Student was in the graduation rate numerator
Note: This component has a 1 year lag

*W3A and W3B codes excluding DJJ facilities. Students who transfer to a DJJ facility using these codes will still be included in the denominator.

Jacinia is a full year enrolled, 2nd grade student who is taking accelerated coursework and who takes the Grade 3 FSA ELA. Will she count in the denominator for the ELA achievement component? Will she count in the denominator for the ELA learning gains component?
He will count in the denominator for math achievement but not for math learning gains.
She will count in the denominator for the ELA achievement and the ELA learning gains components.

23. Achievement & Learning Gains Denominator Scenarios
Marcus is a full year enrolled student who is taking Algebra 1-A as his only mathematics course for the year. His prior year math course was M/J Pre-Algebra. He takes the Algebra 1 EOC that year. Will he count in the denominator for the math achievement component? Will he count in the denominator for the math learning gains component?
Chloe is a full-year enrolled 11th grade student who scored a level 2 on the Grade 10 FSA ELA in the prior year. She took the ACT in November and earned a concordant score. Should she re-take the FSA ELA? Will she count in the denominator for ELA achievement? Will she count in the denominator for ELA learning gains?
He will not count in the denominator for math achievement or for math learning gains.
She should not re-take the FSA ELA because she earned a concordant score. She will not count in the denominator for ELA achievement or learning gains.
