Locality Manager support Providing you with information about local funding opportunities and resources Providing information, advice and guidance on workforce development Sharing good workforce development practice Providing local networking and learning opportunities

Workforce Development Funding A funding stream from the Department of Health disseminated by Skills for Care Contribution towards the costs of workers completing units and qualifications on the Qualifications & Credit Framework Units / qualifications completed between January 2015 and March 2016 can be claimed for New funding round to start in April – units / qualifications completed between January 2016 and March 2017 can be claimed for Routed through employer-led partnerships NMDS-SC requirement www.skillsforcare.org.uk/wdf

How much can employers claim? Level 2 Diploma in Health and Social Care (minimum of 46 credits) - up to £690 ƒLevel 3 Diploma in Health and Social Care (minimum of 58 credits) - up to £870 ƒLevel 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health and Social Care and Children and Young People’s Services (minimum of 80 credits) - up to £1,200 ƒLevel 2 Award in Supporting Individuals with Learning Disabilities (12 credits) - up to £180 ƒLevel 3 Certificate in Stroke Care Management (26 credits) - up to £390

Knowledge based qualification Level 4 Certificate – Introduction to Leadership & Management for Adult Care Services Knowledge based qualification Offers an alternative progression route for Level 3 workers, if their aim is future management rather than advanced practice Aligns with the Level 5 Diploma Delivery will start late 2016 Will incorporate the following areas (and more): Governance and regulatory processes; Communication; Relationships and partnership working; Person centred practice for positive outcomes; Professional development, supervision and performance management; Safeguarding
