Involves a series of practical workshops designed to enable leaders to deliver care in line with the expectations of a ‘well-led’ service
You’ll find out what managers of well-led organisations do to achieve and sustain high standards and how to apply these examples across your own organisation

3. Values-Based Recruitment Toolkit
Values such as dignity and respect are vital to ensure staff deliver high quality care and support.
Skills for Care has developed an online toolkit to support employers embed these values throughout their recruitment and retention process. It includes:
Example job adverts, application forms, person specifications and interview questions
Guidance on different stages of the recruitment process
An example values and behaviours framework (which you can use to develop your own)
Case studies showing how other organisations are approaching this

4. Skills for Care Recruitment & Retention seminars
Finding the right people for your organisation - will explore practical ways to find and attract candidates as well as practice shortlisting and designing selection days to help recruit people with the right values and behaviours for their organisation
Recruiting for values in adult social care - will provide delegates with the opportunity to develop and practice new interviewing techniques and skills to identify and assess how a candidate’s personal values, behaviours and attitudes align with those of their organisation

Targeted at care workers and housing providers
Helps people recognise everything from key fire risks to how to stop a fire from starting in the first place
Is free of charge & takes about 60 minutes to complete
‘Stop look care’ book
Care workers are in the ideal position to recognise changes in an individual’s condition / any deterioration in wellbeing
This book aims to increase awareness and supports the carer to refer on when appropriate
