WHY SET GOALS?

What is something that you do now that makes you practice a 'discipline?'  Something you do again and again just to get good at it? (Football, Dance, Cooking, Gaming, Swimming etc…) Basketball What Skills are involved? Breathing, Body Rotation, agility, running, precision, hand eye coordination

Design

Have you worked with Design projects before Have you worked with Design projects before? (in school or out of school, created or learned at home?) Yes. I have worked design projects inside of school and at home to design the house. If you could become good at any skill in Design, what would it be? (graphics, photography, film, architecture, coding, model building, fashion, sustainability, food design…etc.) Architecture

A. Inquiring and Analyzing B. Developing Ideas C. Creating the solution D. Evaluating In Design you have 4 criteria.  Which are you best at?  Why? C - Creating. I'm better at making the actual project rather then Imaging it. Which of these SKILLs or DISCIPLINE s would you like to be better at?  I would like to make better sketch up and drawn models. What can you do to become better?  I can learn the tools used, and get to know the software better. And learn to draw better.

Design Goals Mood Board Create a MOOD BOARD that shows what you would like to get better at. This is what I can do now This is what I would like to do someday What can I do For Class? These are designs for projects that we make in class. I can make sure that the ideas I develop in class are really well done, for practice. What Can I Do to Follow My Idea? This is what I can do, on my own to get better at my interest

WHAT KIND OF PLAN?

My Design Goal is: What SKILL/DISCIPLINE do you want to improve? My drawing and sketch up skills. Which Criteria fits? Criteria B : Developing Ideas What grade do I have now? 6 Where will you show development? (Process Journal, Blog, Projects, tasks, organization, exhibition, performance?) I will use blog and process journal. How can I practice and do the work? I will draw detailed stuff and make accurate models. How will this help me improve my work? It will help improve the looks of my models on both mediums. What grade do I want to get? 6/7 Where can I use this in other subjects? Art, making my drawing better. When do I expect to check my progress? By December I will: Check to see how my drawings have improved By March I will: I will have recorded my work on my blog and keep my drawings in my process journal. This year I want to set the goal to: improve my overall drawing and modeling skills for the criterea B.

Art

What arts topics and subjects have you worked with in the past? Did you take classes, train, learn yourself?  (Music, dance, drama and visual art, photography, film, graphics, fashion, illustration, jewellery, ceramics....etc.) In the past I took many music classes and visual art classes, I also worked on visual arts at home. If you could become good at the arts, what would it be?  At the moment I would like to be able to improve on my painting skills, I haven't done much painting but I find it very interesting. Im interested in all types of painting.

In the ARTS you have 4 criteria. Which are you best at? Why? A. Knowledge and Understanding B. Developing Skills C. Creative Thinking D. Responding. In the ARTS you have 4 criteria. Which are you best at?  Why? I am best at creative thinking because I have ideas all the time, although it takes a bit for me to think of them. Which of these criteria would you like to be better at?  (this could be media specific...''I want to learn to use...'') I need to improve on Knowledge and understanding, because at the moment I see art as creating, not really as remembering facts so I don’t understand that area very well. What will you do to become better?  I think I should write down more in my process journal so that I realize that there is that aspect of art.

Arts Goals Mood Board This is what I can do now – sketch Create a MOOD BOARD that shows what you would like to get better at. This is what I can do now – sketch This is what I would like to do someday: paintings What Can I Do to Follow My Idea? This is what I can do, on my own to get better at my interest. What can I do For Class? I can start testing different painting techniques for each of my unit projects.

WHAT KIND OF PLAN?

My Arts Goal is: What SKILL/DISCIPLINE do you want to improve? Testing painting so I can learn new techniques Which Criteria fits? Criterion A, Knowledge and Understanding Where will you show the development? (Process Journal, Blog, Projects, tasks, organization, exhibition, performance?) Process journal by lots of experiments How can I practice and do the work? In class spend time practicing on my painting skills and learn new ones. How will this help me improve my work? I will improve my final art pieces and my grade will go up Where can I use this skill or discipline in other subjects? Not really anywhere else. When do I expect to check my progress? By December I will: I will use my painting skills to have completed my tasks. (By March I will:) I will have been able to complet a decent artwork using my new painting skills.. This year I want to set the goal to: Improving my grades in criteria A to 5-6 by becoming better at recording my test and expirements in painting to improve my painting skills.
