Mrs. Sims’ & Mrs. Jenkins’ Kindergarten Class September 5, 2017 LCECC “Building Excellence: Every Child, Every Chance, Every Day!” 7th: School Improvement Council Meeting 5pm 7th: Goodies for Grands 6 pm 13th: Fall Pictures 21st: Parent Teacher Conferences 4-7 pm 22nd: No School for Students 27th: Pork Chop Theatre Practice sight words nightly. Spelling tests begin Sept. 8th. Reading folders and agendas are to be returned daily. Read, read, read! Theme: Farm Life & Animal Life Cycles Reading: Rhyming Words, Letter Recognition, Independent Reading, Beginning Sounds, Sight Words Writing: Directed drawing, labeling, letter formation, sentence construction Math: Counting to 100, numbers & quantities, positional words, counting objects to 20, counting forward from any number Science: Farm animals, animal life cycles, animal needs 5 Senses
