What kind of home does an animal need? We will do some fun Fall/Pumpkin projects. Math Essential Question: How do you sort objects? Does the size of a shape change its shape? Objective 1: Find and describe solid shapes using informal language without naming. Objective 2: Explain decisions about classification of solid shapes into categories. Name the solid shapes. Writing and Handwriting Writing: Journals (second stage of writing) which is drawing pictures and writing letters or words (sounding out words on their own phonetically) that align with prompt given by teacher. PSF writing drill- writing the CVC sounds for words given. Handwriting Without Tears: a,d,g Reading and Literature Story- A Bed for Winter Comprehension: Sequence Conventions: Adjectives for opposites Amazing Words: nest, stump, hive, meadow, tree trunk, den Unit Question: How are animals and flowers unique? Question of the week? What kind of home does an animal need? Sight Words: he, for, and, in Phonological Awareness: Counting words in a sentence and initial sounds, final sounds, rhyming, blending sounds and clapping syllables Genre: Informational Text Decodable Book: Tip and Pat Science: Fall/Pumpkins

We need to start planning our groups for the trip and have a count how many students and chaperones are attending. Thank You! Kindergarten Fall Celebration Wednesday, October 31 1:15-2:40 Thank you so much for the donations we have received so far. We are still in need of wrapped candy, trinkets, etc. for the children’s treat bags. Please send donations to school by Tuesday, October 30th. Please keep in mind that students will NOT be able to wear costumes to school.
