Dear Parents,
Last week, I sent home the Unit #2 reading workbook for your child to keep. There are a lot of fine motor practice pages in the back that your child can complete if you wish. We are now beginning Unit #3 and focusing on letter sounds and formation. We are beginning the challenging task of blending sounds to read 2 and 3 letter words. I am also teaching students sentence structure and sound spelling when we do our journals. I will send home a Lexia and Zearn progress report sometime this week so that you can see how many units your child has completed. The goal is to complete all the Kindergarten levels by the end of the year! N N
