Kindergarten Newsletter
October 17th- 21st
Reading:
The book Green Eggs and Ham. We will focus on rhyming and comprehension. We will begin working on recall of colors, story sequence and characters.
Letter Kk as in Kid in the Kayak K,k,k.
Math:
We have begun writing our numbers daily to develop fluency and accuracy. We are layering on visual counting of quantities and writing the addition sentences to match.
Writing:
We are including big events, settings and speech bubbles in our stories now. The sight words me, see, I, a and first letter labels are expected.
Science/Social Studies:
Kelso the Frog and Mr. Abraham will be back on Monday to teach us more about good choices.

Please check your student’s folders daily.
Your kindergartener can read their homework to you 3 times to color in their star for the night.
Then, they earn a sticker the next day at reading for having done their homework. 
We could benefit from helpers on Monday, Wednesday and Thursday during our reading time to support small group instruction! You can help a child learn to read
