Privilege vs. Right? Using these computers is a privilege, not a right If you do not follow these computer rules or intentionally damage one, you will not be allowed to use them.

COMPUTER EXPECTATIONS DO’S Take very good care of your laptop! If you break it, you’re paying for it!

Computer expectations DO’s ONLY GET your assigned computer out OF THE CART when you are told. Do not use your neighbor’s computer. Only use your own!

Computer expectations DO’s HOLD IT WITH TWO HANDS. HOLD IT AGAINST YOUR BODY. Go immediately to your desk. WRONG!  

Computer expectations DO’s Only get a computer WHEN TOLD TO DO SO. Wait for Ms. Amerson, at your desk before you begin using it.

Computer expectations DO’s Always use the same computer! Be careful! Follow classroom expectations when using your device.

Computer Expectations Do not leave laptop unattended. No surfing, unless instructed and it is a part of an assignment or research you are doing for an assignment. Only use your login and password. Don’t use another student’s login and password. If you can’t log in using your password, tell your teacher. Just like you should not share your locker combination, do not share your login information with anyone, No food or drinks near laptops. EVER! (Water)

Use your laptop like a traditional computer. One more thing… Use your laptop like a traditional computer. That means do not use the touch screen. Do not fold it backwards, like a tablet or tent. If you would like a computer mouse, please let me know.

Computer Assignments The computer you are assigned today will be your computer for the rest of the school year…

This is YOUR laptop NUMBER ALL year This is YOUR laptop NUMBER ALL year. Put it up in THAT number’s space on the laptop cart.

There are TWO cords to be plugged in. The top cord is the power cord There are TWO cords to be plugged in. The top cord is the power cord. The bottom plug is a clear plastic piece. MAKE SURE THE GROOVES ARE FACING THE RIGHT WAY OR IT WILL GET STUCK!!!!

Count the number of slots at the top to make sure you are using the right two cords. Once one is off, all the rest are off. It’s annoying. If on of the cords falls out, put it back in.
