THERE WILL BE TWO SUMMATIVE EXAMS DURING FIRST SIX WEEK PERIOD… … AND SEVERAL FORMATIVE ASSESSMENTS (QUIZZES, REPORTS, ASSIGNMENTS)

AND STUDY AT HOME YOU WILL NEED TO REGULARLY PARTICIPATE IN ORDER TO DO WELL IN THIS CLASS.

LISTENING SPEAKING READING WRITING

Class Supplies   Notebook (composition or spiral, your choice) to keep a daily journal in class. A folder or binder to keep papers. Every person has their own method of organization – do what works best for you! Pen-for quizzes and tests. Pencil-for language lab Filler or computer paper Two (2) highlighters in different colors

Classroom Rules Be on time Be polite and respectful. Be a good listener. Be present in class. You may leave class only after I dismiss you. You may drink water (bottle with a cap). No gum. No music during class unless directed to by the teacher. Seating is assigned.

In Spanish II we will cover: 1st Semester Review of Spanish I concepts like greetings, numbers, telling time, ser verbs, adjectives, subject pronouns. Verb conjugation and stem-changing verbs. Ser/conocer, tan/tanto/ affirmative/negative. Sentence structures, possessive adjectives. Reflexives 2nd Semester Preterit verbs (regular and irregular) Imperfect tense Reading a novel

TECHNOLOGY YOUR LEARNING DEVICE (CHROMEBOOK) NEEDS TO BE CHARGED EVERY DAY. PATTERN OF MISHANDLING TECH CAN RESULT IN REFERRAL. CELL PHONES GO IN THE PHONE CADDY DURING CLASS. PLACE YOUR DEVICE IN THE PCOKET WITH THE SAME NUMBER AS YOUR SEAT. NO PHONES DURING CLASS! MOST TESTS, QUIZZES AND ASSIGNMENTS WILL BE ONLINE.

Tardy Policy   This is a campus-wide policy and is cumulative for all classes (not only Spanish). 1-3 tardies in a 6-week period Warning at AP’s office 4-5 tardies in a 6-week period ECO (3 hours) 6-7 tardies in a 6-week period Saturday School (4 hours) 8+ tardies in a 6-week period ISS WEAR YOUR ID!
