What does your child need for school? school uniform (label, label, label!!) and velcro shoes a school hat (label for recognition) P.E. kit in a drawstring bag (sent home at each of each half term) – no plimsoles until Easter healthy snack water bottle lunchbox (if having packed lunch) book bag

Support your child's development in the Prime Areas. How you can help... Support your child's development in the Prime Areas. Encourage your child's communication skills by asking them what they think? Ask why and how? Encourage independence and healthy self-care skills (e.g. when dressing and with personal hygiene, i.e. toileting and handwashing) Check your child's understanding by asking “do you know what that means” and provide explanations where necessary. Your child may revert to more 'baby-like' behaviour when starting Reception, be patient, they need the chance to relax and unwind after school. Support the development of your child's interpersonal skills (e.g. check they know what to do and say in tricky situations with their peers)

Any Concerns.... very important to tell us straight away after school is best
