1. In September after the summer holidays, you will start in the Reception class at St Matthew’s.
This is the school gate, it is along the pathway.

4. Days of the week On Monday my teacher will be Mrs Bibby.

5. Reception children wait in the playground, ready to come in with their teachers.

6. First you will put your snack box in the snack trunk, then hang up your coat and put your water bottle on your name .

7. You will sit on the carpet and Miss Cronin or Mrs Bibby will take the register and you will tell them if you are having a school dinner or a packed lunch.

8. After register on a Monday, Wednesday and Friday you will go into the big hall for assembly with Mr Quinn and the other children at school.

9. If you need to go to the toilet you needs to ask one of the teachers.

10. You will play and work in the Reception classroom areas until it is play time. You will then play outside with the other children.

11. You will eat your snack and have a drink at play time

12. At the end of the morning it will be lunchtime
At the end of the morning it will be lunchtime. You will go to the toilet and wash your hands . You will line up with the other children in your class to go into the hall to have lunch.

13. You will queue up with the other children and collect your school dinner from the dinner ladies at the serving hatch.

15. You will eat your lunch with your friends, then go out to play with the other children in the playground. You will be looked after by the midday supervisors, whilst your teachers have their lunch. You will then line up to go back into Reception.

16. Sometimes you may need to go to the office to take the register or if you fall over and hurt yourself at lunchtime. Mrs Morgan and Mrs Saunders work in the office and are very friendly and helpful.

17. In the afternoon you will be in the Reception classroom areas again
In the afternoon you will be in the Reception classroom areas again. You will work and play there.

18. On a Tuesday and Thursday afternoon you will have free flow and will be able to play in Nursery or Reception.

19. Once a week you will have ICT in the computer suite
Once a week you will have ICT in the computer suite. You will walk with your teacher and class, through the school to the computer room.

20. Once a week you will read books with a different grown up
Once a week you will read books with a different grown up. The grown up is very kind and friendly and will look forward to sharing books with you.

21. On a Monday you will have PE in the hall
On a Monday you will have PE in the hall. You will have to change your clothes in the classroom and put on your PE kit.

22. Once PE is finished you will have to change back into your school uniform.

23. At the end of the day you will sit for story or little group
At the end of the day you will sit for story or little group. You will put on your coat and collect your water bottle. You will sit on the carpet and wait quietly until your teacher calls your name. You will then go home.
