Fitness Demands Energy Fitness Muscular Fitness H M M-H Aerobic Anaerobic Flexibility Strength Endurance Speed Power H M M-H

Energy Fitness Demands vary for each position Anaerobic fitness develops with age VO2max range from 50-75 mL/kg/min. Blood lactate range from 5-14mmol/L http://11oneonefilms.files.wordpress.com/2007/07/img_4112.jpg

Medium Fitness Demand Flexibility reduces injury and increase agility Soccer training reduces ROM Strength can increase power capacities http://www.teachnet.ie/coconnor/images/kids%20stretching.gif

Medium – High Fitness Demand Endurance is needed due to lengthy games Power is used throughout the game, especially for quick moves to get around opponent http://www.dailyhaha.com/_pics/doing_it_wrong_soccer.jpg

High Fitness Demand speed is not just being able to run fast in a straight line it is also being able to accelerate quickly, maintain a high velocity, react quickly in different situations, and the ability to move quickly with the ball.
