Information For Parents Winmarleigh Hall Information For Parents

Activities Our activities could include: Camp Fire Challenge Course Giant Swing Jacob’s Ladder Quad Biking Raft Building Sensory Trail Wacky Races Zip Wire Activities have been graded from 1 to 5 as to which we want to do. Those activities won’t be confirmed until we arrive on Monday 1st June. Jacob’s Ladder

Safety Groupies and a meeting area Activities led by fully qualified instructors Harness and safety helmet Sick bay and 24hr security Main House locked at night Emergency contact details Zip Wire Each school has a ‘groupie’ attached to the school, who will look after them and ensure they are in the correct places at the correct time. The school group have a meeting place. If they become separated from the group, they know where to go. All activities are safe and children will wear the appropriate safety gear. Emergency contact details will need to be provided for each child. There is a consent form to complete.

Medicines Inhalers – Group teacher Other Medicines (including travel sickness pill) - Miss Crompton Consent forms from school will need to be completed prior to the trip. All medicines to be labelled with: Child’s full name Instructions on administration Group teachers need to carry inhalers to each activity. All other medicines will need to be given to Miss Crompton and a school consent form will need to be completed. All medicines will need appropriate labels and instructions.

Valuables The following must not be taken: The children may take: Money Mobile phones Jewellery New or expensive clothing Aerosols The children may take: A watch One set of party clothes No money is needed – all food and drink is included in the price parents have paid. Aerosols will set the fire alarm off. There may be a disco where children can wear their party clothes.

Day of Departure Depart at 10:30am Children do not need to wear their school uniform on the day. Lunch – Packed in a throw away bag 1 case/bag plus sleeping bag – your child needs to be able to carry it. Children do not need to wear their school uniform on 1st June. We will have lunch at Winmarleigh Hall but it isn’t provided. It will need to be in throw away bag. No bags/sleeping bags will be carried for children so they should be packed appropriately.
