3 8:50am or 10.15am Children to bring their bags to the hall. Children to come to school in their travelling clothes. Medication to be given to Miss Gates. All medication must be named and have clear administration guidelines. If your child requires a travel sickness tablet, please do not administer this at home, bring it to school so that we may give it to the children before we leave- this makes it the most effective. We will take some Calpol in case it is required and call you should we feel it is necessary for your child. You will be given an emergency contact letter in case you need to contact us. The children are not permitted mobile phones.

4 11:00am If you wish to come and watch the coach leave you are welcome to. The coach will be departing at approx. 11:00am

5 11:00am 12:45pm Leave for Kingswood
Stop for lunch. Please pack your child a packed lunch in a disposable bag. The children will need a screw top bottle. (Not fizzy drinks)

6 3-4pm Arrive at Kingswood. Unpack. The children will need to be able to make their own bed so please ensure that they know how to put on a single duvet cover and a sheet and pillow case.

7 5-6pm Tea time. Food is served in a canteen and the children have a variety of foods to choose from. The children will be accompanied by an adult at this time. Children will be choosing their own food, so need to be aware of their dietary requirements when choosing. There is always a vegetarian option.

8 7pm-9pm Evening Activities 9pm - Drink and biscuit
9:30-10:00pm Bed time

9 Daily activities. The children will have 7 activities a day each lasting just over an hour. This includes things such as: Zipwire, Leap of Faith Go Karts Climbing walls Nightline.

10 Other Information Children are not allowed to bring any electronic equipment with them NO MOBILE PHONES Books, magazines and small games are good alternatives to electronic items, and will be available to the children all week 

11 Cameras Children are welcome to bring a camera to Kingswood
Disposable cameras are preferable and should be labelled with your child’s name Any photographs which are taken during the trip MUST NOT be shared on social media, without the consent of the parents’ of every child in the photograph

12 Pocket Money A maximum of £6 is allowed. There is very little to spend money on other than sweets and drinks Please ensure this is in a named container, preferably all in coins Children must have this in their day bags and we will collect it in during the course of the morning

13 Communication In addition to daily website updates, we will be running a Facebook page called ‘Kingswood 2017’. Once this is up and running we will let you know On this page we will share updates and photographs – these will not contain pictures which could identify children

14 Accommodation We do not yet have our room allocation
Once we do, children will be asked to name 3 children (same gender) who they would like to share with and 1 child (same gender) they would feel uncomfortable sharing with. We then use this information to allocate children to rooms

15 Please read the clothing list. The children WILL get muddy and messy
Please read the clothing list! The children WILL get muddy and messy. Even though the weather may be kind to us, the children must have long sleeve tops and trousers. Without them they will not be allowed to participate in certain activities for health and safety reasons.

16 Swimming – We are hoping to have a pool party included in our activity timetable so please pack swimming costume and an extra towel A black plastic sack – This will come in handy when the children are packing muddy clothes to come home A NAMED water bottle – There is drinking water available for the children throughout the day Day and Night clothes – Layers and old, scruffy clothes in the day / smarter clothes at night for activities Snacks – Children may bring some snacks (cereal bars, small amounts of sweets, biscuits, etc...) to have in their rooms and share with friends. As we are taking children with allergies, can the snacks please follow the same rules as school lunches 
