16 What are the timings? 17 Kit List For Land based activities: Old clothes you don’t mind getting dirty A pair of old trainers that you don’t mind getting dirty A spare set of clothes to wear home (including footwear) A nice warm jumper A water-proof coat Something to drink Gloves, hat and scarf DON’T WEAR JEANS!! For Water based activities: Old clothes you don’t mind getting wet (including trainers) Swimming costume/trunks/shorts A woolly hat Something to drink A towel DON’T WEAR JEANS!!!! Overnight Wash Kit Pyjamas (warm) Towel Pillow – Torch or night light Roll Mat (sleeping mat) Hint: Warm woolly hat Warm socks for at night PACKED LUNCH NEEDED for Monday!

19 Please complete and return to school as soon as possible but by Thursday 24th Calpol Consent Medical Information and Contact Details Dietary Needs Consent and Medical Forms

20 We can only administer medication prescribed by a doctor. You must provide us with enough medicine for the duration of the trip, it must be in date with the pharmacist’s label attached. Children who need inhalers must bring two with pharmacy labels on (in case one is lost). All medicines are to be signed into the medical book on the morning of departure - not in children’s bags please. Medicines I

21 Travel sickness medication is an exception to this rule. Paracetamol / Calpol. We will ask for your permission to give either of these to your child should they require them while we are away. We will take a supply away with us. Medicines II

22 Qualified First Aiders are always available. Staff available who have had asthma/anaphylaxis training. First aid kits are taken to all activities. Risks are assessed to avoid any injuries/ accidents. First Aid

23 There will be separate groupings: 1 Boy Tipi 2 Girl Tipis 2 Staff Tipis Rooms and Groups

24 Safety All activities are lead by fully qualified instructors All members of staff have DBS clearance The site is secured by a fence and there is CCTV coverage.

25 Items not permitted on the trip Nuts or items containing nuts Mobile phones Hand held electronic games iPods, iPads, tablets, Kindles etc Electrical hair appliances/dryers/straighteners Jewellery (except watches and small studs) Digital cameras

26 Practising a sleep over. Reinforcing messages about listening, safety and manners. Labelling everything with a name. Letting us know about any issues/concerns (or potential issues) ahead of time –sleepwalking, bedwetting, sleeping in the dark, teddies, medical problems, allergies, scared of heights, homesickness etc. You can help us by....
