This is the sport, I want to talk about

Volleyball Volleyball is a team sport in which two teams of six players are separated by a net. Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court

The Court A volleyball court is 18 m (59 ft) long and 9 m (29.5 ft) wide,divided into 9 m x 9 m halves by a one-meter (40-inch) wide net. A line divides the court into two parts. There are two referees, four line judges and two scorekeepers in an international volleyball game

Volleyball ball The ball must be spherical, made of leather or synthetic leather, have a circumference of 65 – 67 cm , a weight of 260 – 280 g

Basic skills The basic skills make the technical background of a player. Children should practice them from an early age

Serve A player stands behind the inline and serves the ball, in an attempt to drive it into the opponent's court

Set The main goal of setting is to put the ball in the air in such a way that it can be driven by an attack into the opponent's court

Pass (forearm pass or bump) The pass is the attempt by a team to properly handle the opponent's serve, or any form of attack

Attack or Spike The attack, also known as the spike, is a strong hit given the ball with one hand. The object of attacking is to handle the ball so that it lands on the opponent's court and cannot be defended

Block Blocking refers to the actions taken by players standing at the net to stop or alter an opponent's attack

Lob A soft touch of the ball in order to deceive the opponent's block

Rules of the game There are 2 teams Each team tries to score points by grounding a ball on the other team's court A volleyball court is 18 m (59 ft) long and 9 m (29.5 ft) wide, divided into two parts There are 6 players in each team In one set, players must use a combination of no more than three contacts with the volleyball to return it to the opponenr's side of the net Players can make a block to defend their court from the opponent's attacks Players cannot enter the opposent's court neither with their hands nor with their feet In a game there are from 3 to 5 sets; each set is 25 points

Valentina Diouf Valentina Diouf was born in Milan on 10th January 1993 (from Senegalese father and italian mother). She began to play volleyball when she was very young and started her professional career in the 2009-2010 sports season, taking part in the series A2 Italian Championship. In 2010, she was gold medal with the Italian Junior National Team at the European Championship of the category, then there was the first position in the junior world championship the following year. In the 2011-2012 sports season Valentina was hired by Volley Bergamo, where she remained for three years , playing her first series A1 Championship and winning the Italian Super Cup; in 2013 she played for the Italian National Team, and was gold medal at the 16 th Mediterranean Games. Now she plays for Futura Volley Busto Arsizio

Luigi Mastrangelo Luigi Mastangelo was born on August 17 th, 1975 , in Mottola (Cuneo). In 1991 he began his career as a volleyball player in the junior team of his town, the SS Volley Mottola. In the 1997-98 sports season Luigi was in Cuneo, where he remained for five seasons, even when the team changed its name to Piemonte Volley. Here he won two italian Cups, one Italian Super Cup, a Cup Winners' Cup, a CEV Cup and a Euoropean Super Cup. In the 2002-03 season he was hired by the Sports Volley Lube of Macerata, where he remained for three sports seasons, winning an Italian Cup and the CEV Cup 2004-05. in the 2009-10 sports season he was again in Piemonte Volley, where he remained for a term of four years, winning the Italian Championship, the Italian Cup in 2011, an Italian Super Cup and the CEV Cup in 2010. He was silver medal at the European Championship in 2011 and bronze medal at the Olympic Games in London in 2013-14 she played for Volleyball Ornovasso, now she plays for AGIL Volley Novara

Cristina Chirichella The sporting career of Cristina Chirichella started in the 2010-11 sports season when she enterend the team of the Federation of the Italian Club playing in the B1 series for two years. In this period she was called in the pre-junior National Team, and she was silver medal at the European Championship in 2012. in the 2012-13 season she made her debut in professional volleyball in A1 seris with Robusport Volley Pesaro ; in 2013 Cristina was in the Italian National Team in 2013-14 she played for Volleyball Ornovasso, now she plays for AGIL Volley Novara.
