1 points daily for participation/professionalism – deductions for tardiness, not coming prepared, use of cellphones/earbuds in class or lab, foul language 15 -20 points daily for bellringers and ticket out and class assignments – these can be picked up as you walk in door 50 points for weekly lab activities – based on combined group and individual participation 50 points for lab plans and evaluations when assigned 300 + points for Binder Collections twice a semester 200 – 300 points for projects – rubrics will be given How do I earn points ???

Daily Class Procedures Be in the door by the bell, when the door closes, you are tardy Pick up handouts for the day; check board for assignments, reminders and bell ringers Begin working on bellringer activity. Keep quiet during announcements. Be respectful during the Pledge Always be prepared for un-expected Mise En Place Checks for occasional bonus points Daily Class Procedures

Bathroom Policy There are no passes issued during the class hour You may use the restroom when you first come in to class – drop off books, let me know you are going, be back in 5 minutes Lab days – You may stop at the restroom as we are transitioning classes Abuse of these privileges will result in loss of bathroom passes Walking out during class will result in a UA Female “Emergencies” – Please plan accordingly Bathroom Policy

Days absent – It is your responsibility to….. Pick up handouts from day before, check past handouts box Look on MOODLE for assignments or copies of handouts Ask a friend what you missed, borrow notes Ask instructor for missed work at beginning or end of class No make up work will be given 5 days prior to end of grading quarter or semester DO NOT for or turn in work to me when we are in kitchens Days absent – It is your responsibility to…..

Can I make up missed work ??? YES ! But…. It is your responsibility to collect and turn in all missed work from an absence or suspension Turn in all missed work within a week of absence Can I make up missed work ???

When assigned to ISS please ASK ISS teacher for CULINARY BINDER in ISS Assignments and textbooks are available based on activity within the binder Turn in assignment to facilitator at end of day to receive all points for the day If no assignment is turned in from ISS on your assigned day – you will receive a zero If we are testing that day, a test will be brought to you If binders are due that day, you are still required to turn it in In School Suspensions
