Graduated with honors from UT-Brownsville in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in Mathematics.
In 2015 graduated with a Masters of Science in Mathematics.
10 years in BISD

4. Rules The student is expected to: Be on time to class.
Respect other and their property.
Use appropriate language in the classroom.
Follow all classroom rules and procedures including PACE and BISD code of conduct.
The use of electronic devices (cameras, ipods, games, cellular phones, etc) is strictly prohibit.

6. PROCEDURES: THE STUDENTS IS EXPECTED TO:
Come to class prepared (with all supplies ).

All assignments must be neat. Mathematical calculation must be in pencil.

7. Supplies Composition notebook One 3-ring binder and dividers.
Pens/pencil
Erasers
Lose paper
1st period: 1 box of pencils
2nd period: 1 bottle of hand sanitizer
4th period: 1 bottle of hand sanitizer
6th period: 1 bottle of any disinfecting wipes
7th: 1 box of tissues
9th period: 1 package of black pens

8. Tutorial Criteria:
Any student that scores less than 70 in a Six Weeks Exam, will be required to attend After School Tutorial and/or Saturday Academy until student earns more than 75 in a Six Weeks Test.

9. Credit In order to obtain credit, you must earn a minimum of 70.
Texas Success Initiative is a class requirement.

10. TEXTBOOKS:
If you need to check one textbook, please submit your request to Mrs. Garcia.
Classroom textbook must always be under / on top of your desk, not on the floor.

11. Daily Procedures Pick up daily handout at the door.
Complete auto-start activity (journal, quiz, problem of the day).

12. Composition notebook is for math only.
All handouts must be inside your binder.

13. Show your work Each assignment must have: Your first and last name
Class period.
Date.

14. Seating
Seating/groups are assign by the teacher, and updated as needed.
Please, work with your partner, share ideas but USE YOUR TIME WISELY. Avoid personal conversations while group discussion is taking place.

15. Testing mode Tests are independently. Teacher cannot help.
Students are not allow to communicate.
Testing mode: Look at you paper only, do your best, take your time, after you finish testing do not interrupt.

16. Announcements As soon as you heard the intercom, please be quiet.
Do not answer, the office is calling the teacher, not you…(anyways, you know what they are saying, just let me handle it).
If we have announcements, please do not talk. We need to know what is happening at Pace.

17. Visitors If someone comes to the classroom, show your best behavior.
Continue working, if I was lecturing, read your notes. If I am taking long, or if you have a staff support member, get emergency handout…These are the only extra points that I will consider.

18. Lockdown This is not a joke! Take it seriously: Turn off lights
Locked the door
Move away from the windows.
Do not laugh, talk, or make noises until Pace is clear.

19. Fire Drill Stop working! Line-up
Walk as fast as possible to the right. Do not be talking or waiting for someone in the hall.

20. Special Events
If you need to be absent from my class due to any extracurricular activity, please notify me in advance. You must complete all missing assignments in the next two school days. After that, a zero will be recorded.

21. If you follow all directions, we are going to have a wonderful year…
We will have time to learn and have fun…but when it is time to work….we need to work…..
