5. Exam Day This is the phase where the exams take place. You will find all the information on how to conduct the examinations.

Art and Design IGCSE: 8 hours, can be 2 days per paper (01/07 to 24/10) AS/A Level Paper 1: 15 hours, can be 3 days (01/07 to 24/10) KEEP IN SAFE! Labels: For supporting work, on the top right hand corner of each page, signed by the Teacher. For Final Examination piece, on the top right hand corner, signed by the Supervisor; same information must be written clearly on the reverse side of the work (if possible)

ICT Students cannot have access to internet! Windows for IGCSE and AS/A Level ICT are one day per paper IGCSE: Practical Test A (0417/2): 11/10 Practical Test B (0417/3): 18/10 Applied ICT AS Level: Practical Test A (9713/2): 4/10 A Level: Practical Test B (9713/4): 10/10 If more than 1 group, they have to be held back-to-back Students cannot have access to internet!

Key Time Are designed to make sure countries in similar time zones have their candidates under exam or supervisory conditions at the same time to maintain the security of question paper content. 10 am and 2 pm All students have to be supervised or in exam room from the beginning of exam until AFTER the Key Time. Exams start at 9:00 am and 1:30 pm In case of a clash if one group starts AFTER KT: Students MUST be Supervised since Key Time. Cannot communicate outside room by any means, can have access to books, notes, talk to each other, etc.

Full Centre Supervision Definition: Candidate may not have access to any electronic devices with or without internet access or any other means of communication outside of the supervised group (Handbook for Centres pages 7 and 57) School’s responsibilities: ensure candidates are on time for exams and KEY TIME, supervise when they are not in the Exam Room - with no access to any mobile devices, internet, etc. escort students from Exam room to FCS room.

Photocopies- Literature Spanish (0488) and English (0486) Open Books Use of Photocopies must be requested in writing to ESSARP as soon as possible; books or photocopies should have no notes, or underlined or highlighted passages/words. Supervisor checks books. Remember: Literature English (0486) Paper 11: “Opening the envelope with papers an hour in advance is no longer permitted now that the passages are printed.” TEXTS CANNOT BE SHARED!!

Late Arrivals * You may allow a candidate to enter the examination room after the exam started but before Key Time. This will be up to you. * If after key time, phone ESSARP before letting the candidate enter the examination room. * At your discretion, you may allow full time for the candidate. Supervisor will draw a line on the script to indicate any work completed after the official finishing time. * Cambridge will accept the completed work of the candidate if late arrival was for a good reason. If candidates have been released from the examination room, a late arrival cannot be allowed to sit for the exam * Late Arrival Form

Malpractice * Actions that may threaten the integrity of Cambridge examinations and certification * Examples Misuse of examination material Behaving in a way that undermines the integrity of the examinations Bringing unauthorised material inside of the room Notes or incorrectly annotated texts Copying from another candidates Plagiarism Attempting to remove or reveal the content of the examination * Malpractice Form

SPECIAL CONSIDERATIONS Form can be downloaded from our website. Please read Handbook for Centres pages 68-69 MUST be submitted via email to exams@essarp.org.ar, up to one week after missing a component or taking it under special conditions, with medical certificate if relevant. If more than 50% of exam missed, request Refund and Withdrawal Refunds accredited to School account- not returned in cash

REMEMBER * Have a member of staff present to usher students into the Exam room when the Supervisor calls their name- they should enter the room in order and in silence. * Question papers can only be seen by the staff after 24 hours - 24-hour-rule. * Make sure your safe is empty at the end of the exam sessions

RETURNING EXAMINATION MATERIAL Schools within our pick up area During the Examination Sessions ESSARP will collect your students’ answer scripts on a weekly basis. You will be informed of the day in which our pick-up will come round the School. Please make sure you know what scripts to deliver and use the Script Despatch Form. Leave someone in charge if you are unable to be there.

RETURNING EXAMINATION MATERIAL Schools outside the pick up area Please send your answer scripts to ESSARP once a week, using a traceable means of despatch. Keep a copy of the tracking number at hand until the issue of results, as proof of despatch.
