An invigilator will come to you You must not deface the exam paper or make any obscene or offensive markings You must not attempt to copy or assist anyone else Please be aware that the desk you sit at is your allocated desk for the duration of your exams and you will therefore be accountable for any damage that is done to the desk during your exam season

10 Any candidate failing to abide by these rules must be reported to the examination awarding body, who reserve the right to cancel your results in the current examination and in all other current and future examinations with all the awarding bodies. At the end of the examination you must remain in the exam conditions stated until all the papers have been collected and the invigilator has dismissed you. You must not take from the examination any stationery, either used or unused, rough work or any other materials provided for the examination. If any students persist in misbehaving during the exam a member of the SLT will be called to attend and potentially remove that student.

Check your paper Read the questions again – this is where most mistakes are made Do not waste this time Make sure you remain in exam conditions You must remain seated until the end of the exam

12 AT THE END OF THE EXAM The invigilators will collect your answer and question papers You should remain seated and silent whilst this is done Leave the room quietly only when you are instructed to do so

14 WHAT HAPPENS NEXT? Results day is Thursday 22nd August.
Your results can be collected from school on the day, or Giles Academy will post them to you if you leave a large, stamped addressed envelope with the office. If you have allocated someone else to collect your results on your behalf, you are required to complete a consent form. Teachers will be in school on results day to help you with any queries that may arise. If a result is queried, the Head of Department, together with Mr Diaz, will investigate the feasibility of asking for a review of marking at the centre’s expense. Your consent is required before a review of marking is requested. You will be informed when your certificates are ready for collection from main reception. The Giles Academy will only keep hold of your certificates for 1 year after issue. We strongly recommend that you collect your certificates as soon as possible to save you a significant cost for replacements in the future.

15 And finally….. We hope that you will perform as well as you can in these exams. At all times, be considerate to each other and follow instructions carefully – the invigilators will try to make the process as painless as possible for you. GOOD LUCK!
