GRIDMAN and PPC joint session update We had a joint session with GRIDMAN on Wed AM2. Agenda : Requirements Overlap issues between M2M (P802.16p) and GRIDMAN (P802.16n) M2M Requirements Input contributions discussion Discussion on Project planning aspects Outcome: We reviewed some of the M2M requirements contributions There was some understanding that: Some of the smart metering requirements could be addressed in 802.16p. Both projects 802.16p and 802.16n would address different aspects of support for Smart Grid applications Also plan to continue requirements co-ordination between the two projects to address overlap concerns

M2M Requirements Discussion We had 5 contributions on the M2M Requirements (802.16p SRD) C80216ppc-10_0038r2.doc - Outline of 802.16p System Requirements Document C80216ppc-10_0041r1.doc - M2M Requirements from Vehicular Use Cases C80216ppc-10_0042r2.ppt - Smart Grid Requirements for IEEE 802.16 M2M Network C80216ppc-10_0043.doc - Proposed 802.16p System Requirements Document C80216ppc-10_0046.doc - Requirements for 802.16 M2M communication We drafted an initial working document (802.16ppc-10/0011) for the 802.16p SRD: http://dot16.org/ul//upload/ppc_db/80216ppc-10_0011.doc

TDD Co-existence study item We received 1 contribution on the Study Item C80216ppc-10_0040.doc - Draft Study Report for Study Item on Co-existence with non-802 TDD systems After discussion the proposal was to adopt it is a baseline document using a motion. Motion to create TDD Co-existence Study Report working baseline (802.16ppc-10/007) based on C80216ppc-10_0040.doc Moved: Yanxiu Zheng Second: Huying Fang Approved with unanimous consent Plan is to issue a Call for comments & contributions for further development after this session towards the Sept. session.

Hierarchical Networks study item We received the following contributions for the Hierarchical Networks study item C80216ppc-10_0039.doc - Multi-tier Simulation Methodology C80216ppc-10_0044.doc - Contribution for Hierarchical Network Study Report C80216ppc-10_0047.doc - Proposed Table of Content & Usage Models for Hierarchical Networks Study Report There was some drafting done offline to combine the contributions and then we create a baseline and adopted it with a motion. Motion to create Hierarchical Networks Study Report (802.16ppc-10/0008) as working baseline Moved: Shilpa Talwar Second: Ronny Kim Approved with unanimous consent Plan is to issue a Call for further comments & contributions towards the Sept. session.
