NATIONAL MERIT SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM Every junior should plan to take the PSAT in October in order to be considered. Typically 1500 or above www.nationalmerit.org

COLLEGE & CAREERS ON THE HORIZON #1 Maintain AT LEAST a “B” in all classes. #2 Get involved in at least one activity/club this year and stay involved. #3 Continue keeping track of special activities /awards/recognitions you receive (this is your resume). #4 Complete your Student Service Learning Hours, keeping track of what you do and learn from the activity (the more hours you earn, the better). #5 Look for summer enrichment programs in which you can participate.

ERHS CLASS OF 2019 GOAL: Determine interest level and establish a planning committee PURPOSE: Optional Retreat for Class Team Building and Enrichment WHO: Open to the Class of 2019; maximum capacity 380 WHEN: 3 Days/2 Nights (tentatively in September, 2017) WHERE: Summit Lake, Emmitsburg, MD; www.summitlake.org ESTIMATED COST: $150- $200 (meals, lodging, transportation, and activities)
