Junior & Senior year 3.7 GPA minimum Receive invitation to apply in August To be accepted, students are expected to have: Service to school Service to community Leadership Good character

6 Schedules Block Schedules Advisories/Career Plan
Credits for Graduation Regular Diploma: 27.25 Scholar’s Diploma: 28.25 Career Plan - .5 credits Freshman year was credits. Up to 8 credits each year from Use study halls when needed, don’t save them all for senior year.

7 PSATs & Standardized Testing
“Practice” SAT Offered in October to Sophomores and Juniors Over 650 students took it this year—we sold out! Tests Reading, Math, and Writing Score reports are distributed in advisory in December These scores help us predict how the student will do on SATs and can help decide if test prep is needed SATs and ACTs Spring of Junior Year: January, March, May, or June Fall of Senior year: October or November Take no more than 3 times each

Junior Year: College Essay in English Class Senior Year: Resume and Application CP Credit Value: .25 credits (awarded senior year) They have already earned .25 from their performance assessment in 9th grade

Honors: Add .25 Example: An “A” in an honors course = 4.25 AP: Add 1.0 Example: An “A” in an AP course = 5.0 Will students have the same counselor through senior year? Yes, we will have the class of 2019 until they graduate When students are looking for activities for their resume or NHS, does it have to be a CB West activity? No, they can participate in activities outside of school such as Scouts, Club sports, work experience, youth groups, camp counselors, etc.
