Consent includes required permission for disposal of Hazardous waste through authorized agencies certified by Pollution Control Board. Zero discharge of treated effluent. In-house effluent treatment plant of 850 cubic meter per day, containing primary, secondary and tertiary treatment. Treated water is recycled for cooling tower make up water. Plant is designed for removal of BOD, COD and TSS and is fully equipped with Equalisation Tanks, Flash Mixer (for coagulation), Bio- Reactor, Settling Tanks, Clarifier, Sludge Conditioning Tank, Filter Press, Pressure Sand Fllter and Activated Carbon Filter. Fine Bubble Membrane Diffusers are provided for aeration and compressed air to the diffusers is provided by twin lobe air blowers. Multi-effect evaporator (MEE) installed with Evaporation capacity of 500 kgs /hour to reduce TDS.

Environmental Management (Contd..) Influent COD : 1500 – 2500PPM. Treated effluent COD : 50-150 PPM. Efficient vent gas scrubbers installed at critical locations to ensure safe discharge to atmosphere No land filling within the premises. For protecting the storm water streams, all the waste collections is done through closed pipes and no open gutters are used for collecting the effluents. Training for handling, segregation and storage is imparted to shop floor employees.

Environmental Monitoring Daily in-house testing of COD and PH monitoring of raw and treated effluent. Monthly analysis of raw and treated effluent for COD,BOD,TDS, PH, TSS etc (Total 12 parameters) for onward submission to pollution control board. Monthly air, chimney stack and noise level monitoring at different locations . Scrubber circulation liquid is tested and replaced during the product campaigns.

Process Safety Process Hazards Identification and Controls are incorporated at all stages of design and development of processes. Safe operating procedures forms part of operating documents (eg PID, SOP, LPD,BMR etc). MSDS forms the basis for safe handling of chemicals. All new processes undergo HAZOP or risk analysis wherever hazardous operations are involved. Safety devices or systems for Equipment are selected for any process based on the level of protection available for the equipment (PRV,RD, Scrubber etc.). All plant modifications or process changes are incorporated as per documented change control procedures. Required process training is imparted to production employees for any new processes which also covers the emergency response for process hazards.

Statutory compliances Factory licence MPCB consent. Approved plan by Deputy director safety and health.(Factory Inspector) Stability certificates for buildings and structures. Explosives departments licences to store Petroleum class A/B/C substances Explosives departments licences to store Compressed gases Boilers certificates Inspection and testing of unfired pressure vessels.
